چکیده

We demonstrate near-infrared (NIR) absorptive and emissive poly(p-phenylene vinylene) (PPV)-type ?-conjugated polymers based on hypervalent tin-fused azobenzene (TAz) complexes. Taking advantage of the inherent narrow-energy gap TAz complexes originating from three-center four-electron (3c-4e) bond nitrogen–tin (N–Sn) coordination, synthesized polymers, TAz-PPVs, showed absorption, emission in wavelength regions >750 810 nm diluted solution, respectively. From experimental theoretical investigations, elevation highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) reduction lowest unoccupied (LUMO) were simultaneously shown to be caused by extension ?-conjugation. The effective conjugation length was calculated n > 10 (n: degree polymerization), value comparable conventional PPV systems. Through this research, we revealed that systems including bonds able expand According concept “element blocks”, development heteroatom-containing narrow-energy-gap monomers should a novel approach for construction new NIR-absorptive bland materials. Near-infrared demonstrated. absorption respectively, because coordination.

Computational study on geometric and electronic properties of 3.6-carbazole based conjugated polymers

In this work, we present firstly a study based on the calculation of the local spin densities of radical cations, which is known as a good measure of reactivity for coupling reactions, to obtain a theoretical basis for the one-step formation of poly(3.6-carbazole) and derivatives. Then we detail a DFT theoretical study of the geometric and electronic properties of oligomers based on carbazole a...

Conformational disorder and ultrafast exciton relaxation in PPV-family conjugated polymers.

We report combined experimental and theoretical studies of excitation relaxation in poly[2-methoxy,5-(2'-ethyl-hexoxy)-1,4-phenylenevinylene] (MEH-PPV), oligophenylenevinylene (OPV) molecules of varying length, and model PPV chains. We build on the paradigm that the basic characteristics of conjugated polymers are decided by conformational subunits defined by conjugation breaks caused by torsio...
